Vessel fragment

Third Intermediate Period

Not on view

Discovered in 1906 at the site of Tell Basta, this fragment comes from the body of a vessel that was likely part of a wine service, perhaps used in temple festivals. It is incised with an inscription that reads ". . . before Hathor, lady of [Byblos]."
