This silver fragment is part of the "Tell Basta Treasure," found in 1906 at the site of Tell Basta. This particular fragment is likely part of the handle of a shallow strainer that would have formed part of a drinking service (see 30.8.369 for a complete example). Ancient Egyptians would have used such strainers to filter out sediment from wine.
