Plate 10 of a series of designs for doors and mantel pieces. This design presents a mantel piece. Over the fireplace is an acanthus band, a circular medallion with a woman riding a centaur using a bow, and spandrels with shells. On either side of the mantle piece are statues of women on plinths holding garlands of oak leaves that are attached to the oval medallion foun on the tympanum of the pediment.
