This is the first or second state of Schiavone's print; for a heavily reworked state see 27.78.1(5); Bartsch, who does not mention Schiavone's monogram, suggests that the print was based on a drawn copy by Parmigianino of Marcantonio's print, a claim dismissed by Richardson.
