This book, titled "Kaléidoscope: Ornements Abstraits" (Kaleidoscope: Abstract Ornaments), is bound on dark blue linen boards and contains a title page and 20 plates (numbered 1-20) presenting a total of 87 designs for textiles, in the style of Art Deco. Having its peak during the "Roaring Twenties" (second half of the 1920s) and the Depression years of the 1930s, the eclecticism of Art Deco was permeated by both traditional European design traditions and contemporary avant-garde. The designs presented in this book contain colorful, abstract motifs, which evoke, with their fragmented vocabulary, the dynamism of modern culture that was common of Art Deco.

This plate presents four designs for textiles with abstract motifs. Ther first contains a variety of abstract curved shapes colored with olive green and light purplish-gray, yellow semicircles, and white pearls outlined with blue, over a background with zig-zagging orange stripes that separate a red rectangle from a black rectangle, and gray and blue stripes. The second is made up of vertical rows of scales executed alternatingly with two shades of green over a cream background, separated by strips of vertical rectangles of the same two shades of green and small black triangles. The third design is made up of a strip of large fragmented circles colored with orange, green, aquamarine and silver, smaller aquamarine silvers, and triangles, squares and other geometric shapes colored with orange and shades of green over a blue ground. The fourth design consists of large circles and squares made up of geometric shapes colored with shades of pink and some with silver, and smaller circles made up of geometric shapes colored with shades of yellow over a background of geometric shapes colored with different shades of blue.
