Not on view

Four drawings in graphite of designs for bracelets, in the style of the French School of the 19th century, designed for the French jewelry company Mellerio-Borgnis. Each drawing was created on a separate sheet of semi-transparent paper, all adhered to the same page of the album. The first design is made up of a bangle made up of a tube of gold that loops twice around the arm, with a bundle of two, large, stylized leaves, each with a strip of round pearls of decreasing size in the center, and adorned by two pairs of round pearls on the sides. The second design is made up of two strips of gold held together by a strip of gold of the same type that scrolls around them, holding a bundle of stylized leaves and teardrop pearls that decorates the center of the bracelet. The third design is made up of two thin, horizontal strips of gold that frame a scrolling branch with bundle of two large, stylized leaves, each with an oval pearl and a small, round pearl in the center, and with offsetting scrolling branches with round pearls, adorned by a ribbon motif that scrolls around them and around the thin branches that holds the bundle. The final design is made up of two branches of gold holding two large, stylized leaves with a strip of square-cut brilliants in the center, surrounded by scattered round pearls.
