Ornamental designs with bundles of flowers and leaves

Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains ornamental designs with thin bundles of flowers and leaves, outlined with black on thin, light brown paper. On the upper part of the page is a festoon made up of scrolling strapwork with C-curves, with large bundles of roses and other stylized flowers and leaves, with thin garlands with smaller roses and stylized flowers and leaves hanging from it, and a single rose flanked by three leaves hanging from the center. Below it is a bertical garland of rosettes, flanked to one side to stylized pea-jacket motifs with oval and round pearls, and thin, scrolling branches with stylized lilies hanging upside down from them. To its sides are two brooches: on the left, one with a horizontal oval stone inside a scrolling frame, flanked above by a smaller stone surrounded with petaloids and scrolls, and flanked below by a large, vertical oval stone, framed by small, round pearls; two oval stones hang from the sides of the upper frame, and hold two strips of pearls that surround the large stone, to meet a small, framed oval stone that flanks the large stone below. The brooch on the right is made up of a hexagonal stone, flanked below by a strip of two round pearls and an oval stone, and above by a bundle with roses and leaves, surrounded by scrolling motifs with pearls, ffrom which hangs a thin garland with small, stylized flowers and leaves. On the lower-left corner of the sheet is an ornamental design with scrolling strapwork, decorated with thin bundles of stylized flowers and leaves, and on the lower-right is a design for an ornamental corner, featuring a bundle of large, stylized flowers and leaves, and C-curved scrolls.
