First plate of album with 20 pochoir pattern plates with designs for textiles and carpets, titled "Suggestions pour étoffes et tapis: 60 motifs en couleur" (Suggestions for stuffs and carpets: 60 color motifs), created by E.A. Séguy and published in Paris by Massin & Cie in 1923. The plate contains three designs with semi-abstract motifs inspired from nature, executed with lively colors. The first design is made up of round, interlacing frames, colored with blue, holding semi-abstract rosettes with petals executed with green and white, around a pink center, and flanked by thin, long, straight, black leaves, on a yellow background with a checked pattern made up of intersecting vertical and horizontal brown stripes, framed by two thinner, blue stripes. The second design consists of an octagonal frame, colored with black, holding two bundles of large, semi-abstract flowers, executed with blue and green, with white filaments and black anthers, and pointed leaves, colored with black, with white intermittent lines running through their middle, and outlined with green, on a brown ground. The third design is made up of pairs of vertical, undulating lines, colored with black and outlined with brown, with offsetting scrolling branches, executed with brown, and clusters of squares, outlined with brown, and colored with blue and red, on a pink ground.
