Twelfth plate of album with 20 pochoir pattern plates, titled "Samarkande: 20 Compositions en couleurs dans le Style oriental" (Samarkand: 20 Color Compositions in the Oriental Style), created by E. A. Séguy and published in Paris by Charles Massin around 1914, presenting an ornamental design, probably for textiles or wallpapers, with semi-abstract flower motifs, inspired on the Oriental styles created by the artists of Samarkand. The design is made up of abstract seedlings, colored with dark blue and silver spots, framed by thin, light blue lines with offsetting thorns, flanked by thin, scrolling branches, colored with light blue, with bundles of abstract, round, flower buds, colored with dark blue and with silver spots, and heart-shaped leaves, colored with green, on a dark reddish-brown ground.
