Engraving, part of the second part of 'Omnium pene Europae, Asiae, Aphricae atque Americae Gentium Habitus' (Costumes of the various nations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America), a series of prints representing figures wearing ecclesiastical vestments from various parts of the world, engraved by Abraham de Bruyn and published by Joos de Bosscher in 1581.

The engraving represents four nuns of different religious orders. On the left, a Canonical Cleric clothed in white wears her hair wrapped in a scarf to form two rounded horns at the sides of her head, a ruff and a cloak over her long habit with long sleeves with ruffled cuffs. She holds a handkerchief (?) in her hands. A cleric of the order of St. Catherine wears a white habit under a long overcoat with long, wide sleeves, scapula and short veil, all of black color. She holds a small book in her hands. A member of the Lay Order of St. Catherine, wears veil, scapula and loose habit with long, wide sleeves, all in white. The fourth cleric wears a white white habit and scapula and a short, white cambric veil. She holds a small book and a rosary in her hands.
