Not on view

Dior frequently used the strapless gown as the basis from which to create alterable effects modifiable by the use of jackets and stoles. Here, a half-jacket (literally two armholes and a capelet) transforms the bodice of the gown. The embroidery is a typical couture flourish, obliterating the separate pattern pieces through camouflage of the seaming.
