David Garrick
This half-length portrait of the actor and theater manager Garrick shows the subject within a simulated oval frame, his body directed to the left and his head turned towards us. The sitter wears a tiewig, velvet coat, and partly open vest and the print is based on a 1745 painting by Arthur Pond.
