On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 233

Stoneware perforated stands and pedestals are prevalent in Three Kingdoms Period. Stands were made in a variety of forms and heights. The short and wide shape of this stand suggests that it would have been paired with an oversized, round-bottom vessel.
