From a series of nineteen prints relating to the arts and crafts of Bologna (the Met has fifteen). Curti's series is the first devoted to the Trades of Bologna and was probably inspired by Annibale Carracci's drawings of tradesmen that were rendered in prints by G. M. Mitelli and Simon Guillain II (Met has both sets).
