Not on view

Two figures dance on stage, arms and legs thrust into the air and hands touching at center. At left, Jack Bologna wears the dress of a St. Giles Fruit Girl over his Harlequin garb, with the latter's patterned hose peeking out below the skirt. At right, the famous clown Joseph Grimaldi wears his distinctive short-legged suit accentuated by a ridge of hair running along his head, and white face make-up with striking red cheek patches. The actors perform a dance that appeared in scene five of a hit pantomime at Covent Garden that opened in December 1806 and ran for ninety-two performances.
