Title Plate and Pages from a Drawing Book

Various artists/makers

Not on view

This drawing book was published by Pietro Stefanoni in Rome at the end of the sixteenth or early seventeenth century. It consists of plates copied after various artists. The majority is taken from the Bolognese drawing book "Scuola perfetta per imparare a disegnare", which contains engravings by Ciamberlano and Brizio after Agostino Carracci. Other plates appear to reproduce northern prints or were pulled from existing print stock.
