Not on view

This print presents an unrealized early proposal for public transportation in New York. At upper right, a vignette view of Broadway includes Trinity church with a horse pulling a long trolley car along a track. Details at left show the track and the front and back of the trolley, while a side view of the car appears below. Nine compartments offer seating for passengers who sit facing outwards, with each compartment given its own sliding door.
