Electric Guitar
Andy Summers in The Police’s music video “Synchronicity II” in 1982. The instrument is simple
with a metal tube and metal frets attached directly to it. There is an electrical pickup for each of the
six strings, which are tuned at the base of the instrument (instead of the traditional headstock). This
twenty-first century example was owned and donated by Steve Miller of the Steve Miller Band.
