Perhaps best known for their bentwood café chair, German furniture manufacturer Thonet published this portfolio containing forty-seven advertising cards illustrating the furniture company’s “B” product line. Primarily designed by Modernist architect Marcel Breuer—whose design rights Thonet acquired in 1929—this collection highlights the company’s new tubular steel collection including Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s classic lounge chair (B 306), Breuer’s “Wassily” chair (B 3, shown), and at least three other Breuer models still sold by the company today.
