The 1635 title page that identifies Giuseppe de' Rossi as the publisher is not recorded by Bartsch. The Met has the complete series of soldiers that were originally published by Giovanni Orlandi, whose name appears on most of the prints. The only evidence for their republication is this title piece. In all other respects the prints in the series do not appear to have been modified. It is likely that the title was created simply to group the prints and sell them as a set.
