The Met celebrates Lunar New Year with an annual festival that recognizes the diverse Asian cultures that celebrate the holiday. There is a robust roster of events and activities that are held in various spaces throughout the museum. For the Year of the Ox (2021), The New York Korean Performing Arts Center performed in the Met's Astor Chinese Garden Court.
