William Cullen Bryant Fellows

The William Cullen Bryant Fellows group brings together American art collectors and supporters eager to engage with the American Wing as well as current American art scholarship. The Wing is privileged to hold one of the most most consequential collections of historical American art and design in the world, including painting, sculpture, works on paper, and decorative arts. Bryant Fellows programming highlights a wide range of creative production by trained and self-taught women and men—from Euro-American colonial and federal arts, Hudson River School landscape painting, and 19th-century sculpture to the varied arts of the Gilded Age and early 20th-century realism. More recently, we've strengthened our commitment to collecting diverse works by Black American, Latin American, and Native American artists, honoring all of these important contributions to the story of our nation's complex history.

Annual dues support the Museum and the Department's broad program of scholarship of the American Wing, and Bryant Fellows receive a copy of all American Wing publications underwritten with their funds.

Annual Dues: $12,000 (a portion of dues is tax-deductible)

The William Cullen Bryant Fellows receive the following benefits:

  • multi-day travel with American Wing curators to public and private collections (past trips include Paris, France; the Berkshires, MA; and New Orleans, LA)
