Terracotta relief bust of a woman
The bust depicts a richly dressed woman wearing a mantel over her head and shoulders and a tiara in her abundant hair. Many painted details of the original polychromy remain, notably the delicate hands on her breast. She probably represents a goddess, perhaps Aphrodite. Although the piece was found at Sardis, it might be a Boeotian import.
