Radio City Music Hall, New York

1978
Not on view
Despite the bright white screen and empty auditorium, Sugimoto's photograph is about presence rather than absence. The light--both on the screen and softly reflecting throughout the hall--is the light of a movie projected during Sugimoto's hour-and-a-half or two-hour exposure.
