Bound set of progressive proofs for Charlot's 10 lithographs "Mexihkanantli" (Mexican Mother)
One of four known sets of progressive proofs, this being the most complete. They were drawn and printed between January 7, 1946, and March 13, 1947. The use of the term 'chromolithographs' on the title page needs clarifying. These prints were not produced using the ninetneeth-century chromolithographic technology for reproduction. They were made on lithographic stones.
