The woman's outfit consists of a bright green "Japanese" vest with pink borders, over a white blouse with ruffled neck and cuffs, and a long, white pleated skirt. Her accessories include a belt, tied around her waist over the vest, made up of white fabric and with bundles of red beads on the borders, mathcing red shoes, large earrings made with stones of different shades of green, and a green bracelet. Her hair is pulled up and her face is heavily made up with blue eyeshadows, pink blush on the cheeks, and rouge. She is sitting on a stool with black legs and striped cushions of yellow, green and red color, trying a blue neckerchief around the neck of a child who is dressed with a "marine" costume featuring a white jacket with red insigniae, white shorts, white ankle-length sochs, and black strap shoes.
