IBEX Puppetry activates the plaza with their award-winning puppets, puppeteers, and kites in a playful exploration of the connections between people and our natural environment.

Drop-in Drawing: How to Reflect through Art Making
Drop in anytime for a virtual session of our popular art-making series and experience The Met collection through creative challenges. Explore meditation and healing while creating a tactile drawing using tape, taking inspiration from a monumental mural of the Buddha of medicine. Grab a pencil, an eraser, and some masking tape to get started.
#MetKids Microscope—Art in the Dark: How Does Light Change Art?
We need light to see art, but the safest place for it is in the dark. Umm… what? Learn how light energy can damage materials and what we do at The Met to keep art safe for years to come.

Storytime with The Met: Introducing Teddy by Jessica Walton
Enjoy Storytime from home! Look, listen, sing, and have fun with picture books. Recommended for families with children ages 18 months to 6 years. Met educator Hannah reads Introducing Teddy: A Gentle Story about Gender and Friendship by Jessica Walton and connects it to a work of art.
Stop by the welcome tables in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education (ground floor) and the Great Hall (Floor 1) to request an assistive listening device, an American Sign Language interpreter, a sighted guide, and a large-print and Braille schedule of events, and to learn more about access accommodations, programs, and resources at The Met. You can also access The Met’s sensory-friendly resources online and take a break in the Quiet Space.
