Illustration with a design for a day dress, part of the 71st issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published in Paris on May 10, 1914. The illustration features a woman wearing a pink gabardine gown with hand-embroidered flounces with small, black floral motifs. The neck and the cuffs of the gown are made of white ruffled fabric, and her waist is tied around by a gray belt. She wears white socks and black, high-heeled strap shoes, and a cream hat with a crown of pink roses and small, green leaves. She is reclined on a striped couch, readin a love letter that she holds on one hand, the other hand lying on the couch holding a rose.
