Poster relating to protestors in Mérida assassinate on the order of the state governor
El gobernador del estado de Yucatán, Fernando López Cárdenas, descrito en el cartel como un «enano cobarde», aparece de pie en el balcón del ayuntamiento de Mérida dando a los guardias en formación la orden de abrir fuego sobre un grupo de conductores de taxis que participan en una manifestación. A la derecha, los conductores marchan tras la pancarta de su sindicato, cuyo color rojo se corresponde con la sangre de los heridos y asesinados. Este cartel se creó dos años después del suceso, acaecido el 1 de julio de 1936, y ejemplifica el compromiso permanente del TGP con la denuncia de las injusticias cometidas con los trabajadores.
