While many of Li Jian’s fans focus on early inscriptions from anonymous stone monuments or cast bronzes, he also produced some examples for Wen Fong from famous writers of cursive and semicursive script. The lower fan follows the style of Zhao Mengfu, an artist of great fluidity and one of the defining calligraphers of Chinese history.
