P.S. Art celebrates the creativity of NYC public school students and their teachers. Now in its 23rd year—and 18th at The Met—the juried show features 137 works by students from pre-K to grade 12, including District 75. On view are collages, drawings, paintings, prints, photos, mixed-media, and sculptures that reflect imagination, observation, and each artist’s unique creative journey.

Supportive art educators nurture creativity and foster social-emotional growth. They guide students to observe the world and express ideas through art. With each year of instruction, students deepen their understanding, sharpen skills, and build the imagination needed to share their unique perspectives. A strong, continuous arts program is essential for students to grow and thrive creatively.

This annual exhibition of student art is a great night where we celebrate these amazing young artists as they explore their creative voice and get to say they have work on view at The Met. The excitement from the young artists is tangible and the families are truly radiating with pride

The New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) and Arts Office gratefully acknowledge Studio in a School (SIAS) and The Metropolitan Museum of Art for their valued partnership. Heartfelt thanks to SIAS for their sponsorship and substantial role in the selection process and coordination of P. S. Art 2025.
