男性の上着と胴衣

この繊細で凝った上着は、18世紀前半の男性の衣服の贅沢さと優れた縫製技術を示しています。上着の裾部分を馬の毛で堅くし、袖口を大きく取るプロポーションを誇張するスタイルは、この時代に流行しました。これらの特徴は当館所蔵の絵画でもよく見られ、なかでも注目すべきはニコラス・ド・ラーギリエールによるアンドレ・フランソワ・アロイ・ド・テエ・デールクライの肖像画(1727年)です。赤いウールのブロードクロスに撚金糸で施された刺繍は、当時の衣服のデザインにおいて最も豪華な装飾であり、渦巻く羽の模様を撚金糸と金のシークインで表した揃いの胴衣の装飾は特に贅沢なものです。
