Shoes
Although less important for other designers, Ferragamo often included boots and boot-like shoes in his collections. This pair of shoes has a particularly beautiful cut, with careful attention to the lines of the strap and of the topline, which echoes the line of the wedge heel. Ferragamo was a major figure in the development of the wedge heel in the 1930s, and frequently included it his designs. On this example, the combination of a wede heel and a flat welted sole is particularly unusual.
