山羊文壺

原始陶器の傑作であるこの楕円形の器は、様式化されながらも動きのある装飾が施されています。6本の帯の上に、アイベックスと呼ばれる山羊が横向きに描かれ、胴部にめぐる帯がその見事な大きさを強調しています。山羊の誇張された角の曲線と、脚の間の丸い空間が、壺の丸い形と呼応し、両側は交互に描かれた縦線とジグザグの線で縁取られています。全体から洗練された動きとが伝わってきます。
