ペルネブの墓

ペルネブは、国王の正装を担当した宮廷の役人でした。彼の墓の上部構造は、中庭から玄関を通り捧げ物をする部屋に入る構造で、部屋には壁画が描かれていました。部屋の中には、象徴的に死者と接することのできる、様式化された戸口のくぼみ(いわゆる偽扉)があります。装飾された供え物用の部屋だけでなく、中庭と、ペルネブの肖像を収めた付属の部屋もメトロポリタン美術館に収蔵されており、美術館のコレクションにおいて、このような完全な墓の複合体の所有は、珍しい例となっています。
