The second state of the print, retouched with the burin, most notably on the tree trunk and in the lyre, to which strings have been added. The print is based on a drawing in opposite orientation by Paolo Farinati now at the Louvre (Inv. 4865 recto; 221 x 134 mm). The preparatory drawing also bears Farinati's initials 'P. F.' in reverse, a detail not present in any known impression of the print
