팻 프리
무당이자 행상인이었던 하몬즈는 뉴욕 고급 주택가 보도에서 눈 덩이를 팔았고 닭의 뼈와 할렘가의 이발소에서 모은 인간의 머리카락으로 우아하며(눈 덩이보다는 오래 갔지만) 수명이 짧은 조각 작품을 만들었고 1989년에는 얼굴을 백색으로 칠한 제시 잭슨의 거대한 초상화를 워싱턴 D.C.의 거대한 빌보드에 전시하였습니다. 하몬즈의 유일한 비디오 작품인 팻 프리는 쓰레기통을 맹렬히 두드리는 듯한 큰 소리가 울리면서 시작되는데, 이는 정체를 알 수 없는 인물이 밤중에 “버킷을 발로 차면서” 바워리를 지나가며 내는 소리로서 공포감을 주는 동시에 유쾌한 자명종 소리와 같은 인상을 줍니다.
