금속 조각 초창기에 성행했던 로스트왁스법으로 주조한 이 역동감 넘치는 조각상은 소형이지만 비범한 힘과 기념비성을 표현합니다. 이란과 메소포타미아 고원지역에서 발견되는 코가 위로 향한 부츠를 신고 있으며 에너지가 넘치는 이 남성상은 거의 동일한 모습으로 쌍을 이룬 입상 중 하나였습니다. 머리 위 아이벡스 산양 뿔과 어깨에 걸친 맹금의 몸과 날개는 이 남성의 강력한 힘을 강조합니다. 원시 엘람 시대 이란미술의 특징인 인간과 동물을 합성한 모습은 초자연적 세계를 나타내고 아마도 샤머니즘적 신앙을 표현하고자 한 것 같습니다.
