The Gallery of the Palace of Justice
In his view of the gallery of the Palais de Justice, Bosse featured a stall selling women’s accessories between a bookseller and a lace merchant. Among the shoppers at the very center, a woman inspects two fans, while behind her a shopkeeper reaches up for a box labeled "Fans by Bosse." Indeed, the printmaker had published three semicircular fan designs around the time he etched this print.
