초기 중국 비취 조각의 걸작인 이 펜던트는우아한 고리를 형성하는 뱀의 몸체를 가진 용의 형상을 하고 있습니다. 깊게 각인된 홈이 있는 몸체는 꼬여 있는 끈처럼 보이면서 강건한 느낌을 강조합니다. 곡선의 몸과 으르렁거리는 턱을 가진 굽이치는 용은 동주 왕조 말기에 널리 퍼졌던 장식적인 모티프이며, 유라시아 고원의 유목 민족이 인접 국가인 중국에 전파했던 서역 미술에서영감을 받았습니다.
