«A highlight of any trip to the Persian Gulf, our Travel with the Met group gathered for a group photo at the amazing Museum of Islamic Art, designed by architect I. M. Pei, in Doha, Qatar.» The museum is a masterpiece of architecture, commanding a spectacular waterfront location with a great view of the Doha cityscape and a monumental Richard Serra sculpture, Seven.
Later that day, some of us headed into the desert to see Serra's dramatic East-West/West-East—a big sculpture asking big questions.
