«Join us on Tuesday, June 13, for the Museum Mile Festival, when The Met and six other New York City museums stay open late and host a night of free family fun. Stroll along Fifth Avenue from 82nd Street to 105th Street to check out art workshops, meet artists, and catch exciting performances all evening long.»

At The Met, you can stretch your design muscles by creating your own drawing tool with artist Rosemarie Fiore. She invents the tools she needs to create, which have included painting with fireworks and amusement park rides.

Family at drawing table

Families can use different drawing tools to contribute to a collaborative drawing.

Nearby, you can also work with animators from The Good School and Met experts to imagine what would happen if works of art in the gallery came to life.

Try your hand at creating short animations with friends and family.

On the plaza, grab a seat for a free life-drawing workshop, where you'll learn simple sketching skills you can use in the Museum and throughout the city. Take home a memento of the evening by snapping a pic on the plaza or popping into a #MetKids photobooth before you leave.

The fun kicks off at 6 pm at The Met. Check out the full lineup of activities and we hope to see you on June 13!
