Embroidered panel
In design and palette, this needlework pays homage to the stylized blooms and elegantly sparse patterning developed by Glaswegian artists and designers like Jessie Newbery and Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh. Fair, but not outstanding- neither in technical skill, nor in quality of raw materials- this is likely the work of a student at the Glasgow School of Art.
