Plate with an illustration for a Parisian Costume for women, consisting of a satin and tulle evening gown and a velvet scarf with tassels of pearls, part of the 37th issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published on June 1st, 1913. The illustration shows a woman, her brown hair pulled up, wearing a draped, white-and-cream gown, consisting of a long, narrow, white skirt, and a one-shouldered, white top with an A-shaped, hip-long over-skirt, over a cream, horizontal fabric draped around the bust, a blue scarf, hanging diagonally from her right shoulder and tied at the left side of her waist, with two large tassels of pearls hanging from its ends, and black shoes decorated with pearls. Her face is heavily covered with make-up: grey eye-shadows, pink blush on her cheeks, and red lipstick; her nails are colored with red. She wears large earrings with emeralds and pearls, and matching rings on her fingers, and a long string of pearls around her neck. She is standing in front of yellow walls decorated with green stripes with small leaves and a round window with a purple curtain with small, pink polka-dots.
