Costumes Parisiens 135: Toilettes de visite, l’une d’ottoman rouge à brandebourgs de soie et grelots d’argent, l’autre de faille à grosses côtes
Illustration with two designs for outfits for visits, part of the 60th issue of the "Journal des dames et des modes", published in Paris on January 20, 1914. The illustration features two women with visiting outfits. The first wears a red ottoman with silk frogging and small silver bells over a red, narrow skirt; her jacket is tied around the waist by a gray belt with hanging silver bells, and the neck is made with matching gray fabric. She wears a gray hat with black feathers, gray shoes with red heels and red bows held by golden buckles, and holds a white fur scarf on her arm, behind her back. She is standing, posing her gloved hand on a table with a white tablecloth and a pink-and-blue tea set. The other woman, sitting at the tea table, wears a sand-colored ensemble of jacket and skirt, with green belt and lining on the skirt, over a ruffled white shirt whose borders can be seen in the neckline and cuffs of the jacket. The neck, cuffs and pocket of the jacket are of dark brown color and have thin, loght brown vermicular patterns. She wears a green hat with green ribbon and bows, and small, thin black feathers.
