Engraving, part of 'Omnium pene Europae, Asiae, Aphricae atque Americae Gentium Habitus' (Costumes of the various nations of Europe, Asia, Africa and America), a series of prints representing figures from various parts of the world, engraved by Abraham de Bruyn and published by Joos de Bosscher in 1580.

This engraving represents a man wearing sumptuous Venetian dress, a Venetian Duke in fine dress, and a Genoese Duke in fine dress. On the left, the man in sumptuous Venetian dress wears a long robe with long, wide sleeves, a band diagonally across the chest, and a small beret. On the center, the Venetian Duke wears a short ermin cape over a long brocaded cloak with a pattern of scrolling motifs and a border of lozenges, trimmed with braid and embellished pearls, over a long-sleeved, long robe with embellished trimmings. He wears a small hat of brocaded fabric, matching his cloak, and jeweled embellishments. On the right, the Genoese Duke wears a short ermin cape over a long overcoat with long, wide bell sleeves with a brocaded pattern of lozenges with semi-abstract four-petal lozenges, bordered with a pattern of smaller lozenges with pearl trimmings. He wears a small crown and holds a scepter on the right hand.
