Reinstalling Art of Native America: Three Perspectives

In the second day of the Annual Textile Conservation Colloquium, explore Dream Catcher by interdisciplinary artist Marie Watt (Seneca Nation), a featured work in the exhibition Art of Native America: The Charles and Valerie Diker Collection. Learn about the artist’s process—drawn from history, memory, Iroquois/Haudenosaunee protofeminism, and Indigenous teachings—and the intent and interpretation behind the installation at The Met.
