Design for a covered all'antica urn with ignudi serving as handles. The body of the vessel is characterized by male and female hybrid creatures, while the lid is decorated with bird heads. The design is part of a series of 24 designed by Jaques Stella and published in 1657 by his daughter Claudine Bouzonnet Stella. The series was reissued in 1667 together with a second part with an additional 25 plates.
