Not on view

Design showing two-thirds of a ceiling, with a trompe-l'oeil oval scene at center, with Mercury set in clouds, set in a recessed rectangle. Framed on three sides by an ornamental border with strapwork. At the center of each side of the border, a medallion flanked by seated figures. From an untitled series of six plates with ceiling designs, two of which carry the date 1708, suggesting the set is a later addition.
