Page of book containing 185 leaves with a collection of lithographs, aquatints, engravings, and other media, with ornamental designs published by Fleury Chavant in Paris, part of the publication "Guide du Dessinateur de l'industrie: une macédoine de dessins variés , tels que fleurs, ornemens, etc. ... Ouvrage destiné aux fabricants et dessinateurs de soieries... et Papiers Peints..." This plate contains the title page for the sixth issue of the "Guide du Dessinateur de l'Industrie", and consists of a frame made up of stylized scrolling acanthus leaves, some rendered with black and containing smaller scrolling leaves inside, containing an inscription of the title and publisher of the publication. The frame is flanked above by an oval frame containing a small bundle of stylized flowers and fruits, two large scrolling acanthus leaves, and a small, heart-shaped frame with a semi-abstract palmette; it is flanked below by thin scrolling branches with leaves. Around the frame are four garlands with scrolling branches and leaves of different types, showing variations for one design in the way a presentation drawing or print would do. Around them are four designs for page corners, presenting variations of designs with palmettes, stylized flowers, and scrolling leaves. In the upper and lower parts of the sheet are four more designs, for borders, presented in thin rectangles, and containing different kinds of garlands of stylized flowers, fruits and leaves, some straight, with scrolling offsets, and some undulating.
